Understanding Steel - Cleaning Guide
Stainless steel must be cleaned to maintain its ability to resist corrosion. But the good news is, if you maintain and care for your stainless steel, you'll get a lifetime out of the product, which is why we are so confident in offering our lifetime guarantee. All it requires from you is a little care and maintenance.
Some things to look out for:
- Leaving your product out in the direct sunlight with the protective plastic film in place risks the plastic film 'baking' onto the stainless surface.
- Any cleaning detergent or solution that contains chlorine will cause corrosion on all Stainless Steel products, regardless of the grade of Stainless Steel. Use of chlorine will void the warranty.
Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of your Simply Stainless product is an easy process. Cleaning your Stainless Steel not only ensures it retains quality strength in use but also allows it to remain rust and corrosion-free. Try your best to polish or brush with the grain. A highly recommended cloth is a 3M scotch brite.
For day to day use plenty of water with a mild detergent, and switch to methylated spirits or turpentine for a deeper clean.
