Understanding Gravity Conveyor Pitch

The conveyor pitch refers to the distance between roller centres. The size and sensitivity of the items your conveyor needs to carry will determine the required conveyor pitch. If the items are large and sturdy, they won't need as much support, so a larger pitch will suffice, however if the items are small or fragile, you want to increase the support and reduce bumpiness with a small pitch.
