Perth restaurant Wildflower and hotel COMO The Treasury required a bespoke solution for storage and transport of items to be laundered offsite. The trolleys had to be tailored to wheel easily and fit securely into the delivery van, provide discreet storage of laundry items, as well as delivering an ergonomic and safe solution for the client.
The delivery van was examined, and a solution developed to provide a fitout to streamline transport of the laundry items. Trolleys to store and transport the laundry items were then designed, and manufactured locally to ensure premium quality.
The finished van fitout included framed rollers on the left and right, with a buffer against the cab wall to prevent trolleys causing damage. The rollers ensured the trolleys would move into the van easily, with a central clamp mechanism to hold the trolleys in place.
The trolleys were designed to fit two across the width and length of the van, enabling a total of four trolleys to be transported at once. Constructed from powder coated steel mesh to allow the laundry items to breathe, the front panel features a drop down gate for comfortable access to the contents, reducing back strain for the operators. Braked castors ensure functionality and safety. Canvas covers were manufactured to fit the trolleys, with a custom zip design allowing the cover to be rolled back, enabling efficient access to trolley contents. This ensured the laundry items could be transported discreetly, in keeping with the high standard of the client’s presentation.
