Challenge
Searle Fasteners required supply and installation of a complete warehouse fitout for their new premises in Canning Vale. They required shelving storage for small parts, and wanted to make best use of the storage area. Installation had to be completed before the Christmas break, to allow the client to move-in and setup for trading as of 2nd January 2018.
Solution
Long span shelving (also known as open span shelving) was used to complete the fitout. This is a predominantly boltless construction of powder coated steel upright frames and beams with particle board shelving, which allows alterations and changes to be made easily as required. The layout consisted of shelving bays around the perimeter of the warehouse, with additional rows of shelving in between. Load signage was included to meet Australian standard requirements. Existing workbench worktops were replaced with timber board.
