SafeWork SA is all set to make this year's Adelaide festival season, a safe event. WorkSafe inspectors have been deployed with event organisers to ensure that workers, patrons and visitors will be safe during this whole event.

With the start of this event, large crowds are drawn to watch these popular set of events. With the same concern, SafeWork SA Executive Director, Bryan Russell said these events need to be carefully managed to ensure the safety of workers, volunteers, attending patrons and the general public.

A special team of SafeWork inspectors is deployed routinely along with coordinators of public events to control any unwanted incidents and to avoid any risks so as to keep this whole event safe and secure.

SafeWork inspectors conduct certain compliance exercises on various parts of this events including verifying the safety of temporary structures that includes stages, marquees, high risk plant and electrical items, entertainment gadgets, organised storage of dangerous goods such as LPG and fireworks.

All this security has been kept to ensure workers and patrons can enjoy themselves while being safe and should be aware that their health and safety is not at danger, "Mr Russell said.
