The best way to prevent the threatening mishaps, accidents and incidents at the workplace, is to identify the causes of such potential hazards. Department of Mines and Petroleum has released an impressive video series, highlighting the issues that can result in serious injuries or even deaths at the workplace.

This video series has been compiled as a result of information collected from the past that showed that these particular hazards had resulted in the mishappenings at the workplace. This information source will certainly be going to improve and correctly identify hazards, thus contributes towards reducing the occurrence of accidents in workplace.

Know Your Hazards - video series comprises of three videos, grouped together as a theme 'Raising the issue' and is focusing on key areas of concern during rigging, dogging and lifting - subjected under three headings as centre of gravity, friction and tensile strength. 

These videos are available to be shared, downloaded or distributed for educational purposes.
